Melissa A Goetz age 40, passed away suddenly at her home, March 22, 2021.
Born and raised in Clifton Heights, Melissa made her home in Chester, Pa for the past two years. Melissa graduated from St Eugene School and Upper Darby High School, class of 1999. She studied Psychology at Delaware County Community College, also Substance Abuse and English Literature. Melissa currently was employed at Liberty Steaks and Hoagies in Woodlyn.
Melissa was a walk of fresh air, and bright sunshine when she entered the room with her upbeat personality. Growing up, Melissa enjoyed many activities; Dancing, Ballet, Swimming, and Cheerleading. Melissa enjoyed her Beach and pool days, always accompanied by family and friends. She enjoyed and was challenged by Jet ski and Quad rides with her fiancé Christopher. Melissa had a strong love for all animals and was an avid lover of Pitt Bulls and keeping them safe.
Melissa followed the NA Program, where she accomplished sobriety, and along the way mentored many women, and assisted them to achieve sobriety. Melissa touched the hearts of many AA and NA members, she was a fighter, caring and compassionate to everyone.
Melissa is predeceased by her father Joseph J Goetz Sr., her grandmother Anna Marie Lahey and her brother Shawn M Goetz.
Survivors: Loving mother of Nicholas A Goetz, Ryan McRath, Alex McRath and Noah McRath, beloved daughter of Patricia (Antonino "Nino") Prestipino, loving brothers Joseph (Jeannie) Goetz Jr., Christopher (Taryn) Goetz, stepbrother Tony (Jessica) Prestipino, Marialana ( Matthew) Crispin, dearest granddaughter of William M Lahey and Paolina Prestipino, Fiance of Christopher Maher, many nephews and one niece, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Memorial Service: Tuesday March 30 at 10 am St Pius, 220 S. Lawrence RD, Broomall, PA 19008.
Visitation: Tuesday March 30 from 9-10 am at the church.
