Gregory Carchidi, age 75 of Prospect Park, PA passed away on March 18, 2018.
Gregory was born in South Philadelphia and was a 1960 graduate of Haddon Heights High School in Haddon Heights, NJ.
Gregory was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving as a hydraulics and pneumatics specialist from 1961 to 1967. He was employed at Scott Paper as a Research Technician for over 25 years. After retirement, Greg embarked on a new career, serving for over 10 years as a sales professional for Strawbridge & Clothier.
Greg served on the Prospect Park Planning Committee and was elected Judge of Elections. He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America where he served as Committee Chair and was part of the Boy Scout Council. Greg was a member of the American Legion Post 0507 in Norwood. He also enjoyed working on old cars and woodworking.
He is predeceased by his wife, Katherine Carchidi, and brother, Samuel Carchidi.
Survivors: Loving father of Helen (Arthur) Caron, Michael (Donna) Carchidi, Laura (Ernest) Scardecchio, and Matthew (Carolyn) Carchidi, adored grandfather of Jacqueline, Duncan, Amber, Michael Jr., Joseph, Katherine Jo Anne, Aaron, Savannah, Victoria, Ryan, and Adriana, and brother of Catharine MacDonald.
Visitation: 1-2pm on Saturday March 24, 2018 at McCausland Garrity Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 S. Chester Pike, Glenolden PA 19036.
Funeral Service: 2pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial: Eastlawn Cemetery
